A Midnight Court Sitting Six, Inisheer developed out of a whole series of collaborative workshops and discussions with interested groups and individuals on Inis Oírr. Workshops had taken place with Comhrá na nAosach, an older age group of island women and two experienced established artists- Máire Uí Mhaoilean (a writer from Inis Oírr) and Pauline Goggin (a socially engaged artist). Elaborate Masks were made in workshops for participants to wear on the night and these were tried out in a photoshot with photographer Deirdre Power for posters where the magic of these animalesque head pieces to enhance performance was revealed.
