In the days after the event, my attention was brought to a story in independent.ie of a hearing in the same courtroom by another judge just days before. I was interested in the judges attitude to knitting and the two women, who he said, “if they wanted to sort our their housing problems, they should think about knitting or something like that…” I felt I had achieved part of my intention, which was to respond to the predominantly flat or one-sided representations of court featuring in the media with a many-stranded communicative approach.
