Two movements seem to take shape in the dynamic of the work: the linearity of the connections reaching out and the circularity of the object referring back to itself. D. H Lawrence describes symbols as ‘organic units of consciousness with a life of their own’ which can not be explain away ‘because their value is dynamic, emotional, belonging to the sense-consciousness of the body and soul, and not simply mental.’ The organic and dynamic dimension of symbols could be echoed by the two movements finding their reflections in two recurring figures of the installations: the line and the clock.
