Contemporary HyBrasil

For the instillation, “Contemporary Hy Brasil” a line was drawn from the sea and tied to a beacon on the pier on which was hung a variety of found objects: a black dress, an umbrella, a pair of green shoes, a fiddle and an assortment of clocks. The visible length of the line would vary with the tide. The installation was to stay the month between the spring tides of July and August and then removed, but was ultimately left to be dealt with by the sea.
